Day 1-3:
Arrival in El Calafate and transfer to Helsingfors Lodge. Walk or ride up to the Blue Lagoon enjoying the impressive views of Mt. Fitz Roy. Sail on the "Zodiac" up to the Viedma Glacier where huge chunks of ice calve off into the sea forming icebergs. Step ashore and enter the caves on the very edge of the glacier.
Day 4-6:
Transfer and lodging in Altavista Lodge in El Calafate. Visit to the Perito Moreno National Park and Perito Moreno glacier. Walking tour on the glacier. Transfer to El Calafate Airport.
OPTIONAL EXTENSION:
Torres del Paine National Park (Chile)
3 days / 2 nights
Walk through UNESCO-protected Torres del Paine National Park, home to 150 species of birds, including the Andean Condor and the emu-like ρandϊ. Visit to Milodon Cave, the natural habitat of the Patagonian primitive man and the Milodσn (extinct herbivorous animal).
Lodging: Lake Grey Lodge / Torres del Paine National Park.
