Day 1:
We fly to Jujuy, the gateway to "Quebrada de Humahuaca" (Humahuaca Gorge), a World Heritage Site. In 4x4 vehicles, we tour the "Mountainous Jungle" or "Yunga" and visit "Potrero de Yala", a Biosphere Reserve and its five mountain lakes. We go bird watching with binoculars. Short reconnaissance walk. Arrival to Tilcara.

Day 2:
We visit Tilcara village, its "Pucará" (a native fortress), the High Altitude Botanical Garden, where we listen to "Piedra Campana" (Rock Bell) and enjoy breathtaking views of the gorge. We return to the village by carriage, crossing the Huasamayo River.

Day 3:
4x4 excursion to Purmamarca, an attractive village in the gorge with its "Cerro de 7 Colores" (Seven-Color Mountain). Outing along the striking "Los Colorados" trail. We tour the mysterious "Puna jujeña", cross down the Lipán slope and delight with the Salinas Grandes (Great Salt Pans): a sea of salt. We go biking through the salt pan and basins and see some llama and vicuna herds.

Activity: 1-hour walk / 40-minute bike.

Day 4:
Horseback ride to Los Patos Lake through a path full of flowers, escorted by colorful birds. We watch huge cultivated plots of land and exceptional views. In the afternoon, kids give free rein to creativity in a Puppet or Ceramics Workshop.

Activity: 2 - 2 ½ hours Horseback riding.

Day 5:
Visit to Sapagua archeological site. Arrival to Hornaditas, a small "Coya" community, where a family invites us to share their daily life and tasks. We prepare our camping and knead bread, while waiting for lunch: barbecued meat in an adobe oven. We then pasture goats and sheep with the Coya family.

Day 6:
We begin our return journey, visiting the historical Humahuaca city, where we get the blessing of San Francisco Solano. In the afternoon, we arrive at Tilcara amd stay there for the night.

Day 7:
Trekking to Juella and watching llamas. Transfer to Jujuy's Airport to board the flight to Buenos Aires.
